Introduction:

All hubs are made to the highest quality standards. With our unique 36 hole design we achieve a superior strength - compared to a conventional 32 hole hub- while allowing the lightest construction on the market. 

The assembly is made using a "two laced" pattern, providing flexibility without sacrificing durability.

A set of SOS Racing Wheels are based on our own unique light-weight hub design, connected to your choice of Excel rims, using ultra-strong Pit-bull spokes and nipples - all assembled and tested by our skilled staff.

Our wheel sets are continuously being tested by top athletes in Supercross, Motocross, Motard and Enduro, and have proven to be the best in class.

In addition to our factory spec (standard) and individually (custom) produced wheel sets, SOS Racing Wheels provide Brake discs.

We also offer wheel servicing on our own wheel sets.

Internal Parts:

What's inside our lightweight hubs?

Our hubs are constructed with the aim of simplicity in mind. To ensure that you are prepared for a hard landing, all parts are carefully designed by our engineers based on tests in actual racing conditions. 

The internal parts of our lightweight hubs have been designed with a strong focus on quality and easy maintenance.

The intermediate tube is made of an extremely hard alloy, derived from the aerospace industry.

The spacer secures the SKF bearings in place and is uniquely machined with a recess that supports the axial forces.

The bearings are protected with seals from SKF which prevent dirt from entering and destroying the bearings.

At the rear hub, two bearings in the chain side increases the lifetime of the bearings drastically.

The bushings - that hold the wheel in place- are CNC machined from aluminium and anodized to increase their strength.

Spokes:

We use pitbull spokes to counter the extreme forces that wheels are subjected to during racing.

The spokes are 4mm thick throughout, both for the front and rear wheel.

We use a special type of stainless steel which is both flexible and extremely durable.

Our spokes are available in different colors as well as a polished finished.

The colored spokes are powder coated; providing the most durable surface with the most optimal resistance against abrasion in a harsh environment.

We are continually upgrading our sortiment of available colors; please consult our website to see what color schemes are currently available.

To prevent the head of the nipples breaking off, we have extended the nipples so that there is more material and longer threads in the part of the nipple that is above the rim. The spokes are also further extended so that the joint is as strong as possible.

Rims:

Excel, our preferred supplier of rims.

Excel - the well-known japanese quality rim manufacturer - supply us with the strongest rims on the market.

We trim the rims individually, enabling our own Pitbull nipples to fit 100%.

This prevents the nipples scuffing onto the rim and the resulting slackening of the spokes. In the end this increases the life of both the rim and the nipples.

Every Excel Motocross rim is engineered and designed to perform in extremely harsh environments.

Rims are available in Black, Silver, Blue, Yellow and Gold.

>>Excel A60 Rims are structurally 15% stronger than the Excel Takasago Signature Series Rims. However A60 rims are just as light as the Takasago rims.

Quality:

When you acquire a set of wheels from SOS Racing Wheels, you can rest assured that the quality is 100%.

We perform material quality tests and comprehensive measurements and analyses to ensure that your wheels are within the specified tolerances.

We adjust and check torque on all assembled parts.

All hubs are scanned utilizing the latest in 3D technology.

We guarantee that each wheel that leaves the factory meets all our tight specifications.

We are able to trace all our products back to the alloy base material, by means of individual codes stamped and registered on each assembly.

Some of the checks we perform on your wheels are:

- Axial and radial offset: guarantees perfect alignment of the wheel to assure smooth rolling.

- Hub centering: guarantees perfect symmetry of the wheels and thus the motorbike.

- Spoke tension: guarantees optimum balance of the wheel and ensures long life.

- Axle run-out: guarantees the perfect setting of the hubs and ensures low rolling resistance.

We pre-stress the spokes with torque to ensure correct tension.

The wheel:

SOS Racing Wheeels allows you to customize your individual wheels.

Our factory spec are supplied with a black "Takasago EXCEL rim" - hub color depending on your motorcycle manufacturer - 4mm strong Pitbull stainless spokes and our Pitbull steel nipples.

SOS Racing Wheels makes it possible to customize your own wheels and add a personal touch to your motorcycle.

Some of the tricks are:

- Lightweight aluminium Pitbull nipples.

- Colored stainless Pitbull spokes.

- Anodized hubs.

- Anodized lightweight aluminium Pitbull nipples.

- Colored Takasago EXCEL rims.

- The stronger EXCEL A60 rims.

- Rim lock nut.

About us:

SOS Racing Parts is part of the MSSP Group whose primary activity is machining and manufacturing of industrial components as a partner to international companies such as Siemens, Danfoss, Vestas and ABB among others. 

MSSP was founded in 1989 and currently has 130 employees and production facilities in three countries.

SOS began as Stayonstickers in 2008. The main product was custom designed stickers for Motocross, Quad and Go-Kart. The possibility to get your own custom stickers attracted customers and Stayonstickers quickly became the preferred supplier in Denmark.

However, as a subsidiary of a manufacturing company, it was natural to utilize the assets it provided and since the owners had a background in racing, it was a clear-cut decision to begin producing wheels of a higher quality than the stock standard wheels and available alternatives.

This, together with the possibility of being able to choose colors on the hub, rim, spokes and nipples gave way for a unique product. The first SOS wheel was created in 2011.

Today we supply wheels for Motocross, Supercross, Enduro and Supermotard.
